Swimming

I wish I could have been in Chris’ pool for swimming. I like the way how our class swims because they move their feet fast like a shark. Most kids are really good at swimming like adults. We are so lucky to have Chris because if he wasn’t at our school we wouldn’t be able to have a pool. I wish I had brought my togs every Tuesday so I wouldn’t have missed out on any lessons. I still need to learn how to do breastroke.

My cockroaches

The awful loathsome cockroach wouldin't leave our house because it a was trying to eat our left over food. Cockroaches have long fin legs that look like stick legs. Quick as lightning the cockroach ran as fast as they can to spead disease.

Honey Bee

Honey bees allways flit thir four wings as they zigzag and dodge thew the leaves to collect precious nectar. Bees flit thir four wings because they have to travel along all day to collect precious nectar and pollem. Zigzaging andbuzzing bees fly all over the world to get pollem stuck o thir boddy. Precious necta is so good that the bees realy collect honey.

Sir Francis Drake story

Sir Francis Drake was born in 1540 in England, he was a privateer. Drake was encouraged by Queen Elizabeth 1 to circumnavigate the globe on his ship the Golden Hinde. He was the first Englishman to sail around the world and also to California. Drake stole treasure money and gold from the Spanish and brought it back to England.

Ferdinand Magellan Story

Ferdinand Magellan was born in 1480 in Portugal. The Government of Portugal disagreed with Magellan so he went and asked the king of Spain that if he could have a boat and money like Columbus, as he was going to circumnavigate the world to get to India. Magellan's boat was called Victoria because it meant victory. By 1494 the Spanish couldn't sail past Africa because the route was owned by Portugal. Magellan sailed west through the Atlantic ocean and into the strait of Magellan to discover the Pacific ocean. Magellan's crew circumnavigated the world but tragically he never made it past the Philllipines, as it was here that he was killed in a battle.

Our Pirate Wordle

Our group put our words from our stories about pirates in wordle net.It was cool because we liked to see our story in wordle. When you see big writing that is an important word from our stories, smaller words are less used ones.

The Destruction of Rich Town - July 9 2010

I liked to erupt Mount Hunter. What we had to do better is to stick as a team. The part that we did well is drawing our pictures. What I learnt is how to erupt a volcano. What I would change for next time is to not play around when we are still have to finish our work.

Camp Highlights

Racing is fun, playing with your friends because you might win or lose. That's what we got to do at skate land. I was no where near the leaders because I was too slow and the leaders were too fast that they nearly over lapped me

Capture the Flag - March

Under the relentless sun Starford dodged, sidestepped and dived for the trophy. He got the flag and dashed for the line.

While Jesiah twisted and turned he distracted the other team and I was able to scurry like a rat over the line and score a point.

“Jesiah hurry up and rescue me.” I yelled scarily, as I waved my hands up. “What? I’m coming” screamed Jesiah intensely, as he waited for a gap in the defense.
