My thoughts for this term.

Hi my name is Studamyer Thomspon , and for this term we are learning about a topic called toy story. Its all about you sharing a story about one of your toys.

The Social

Suddenly, I heard from the teacher’s and student’s that we were going to have a social 4 o'clock after school too 8 o'clock. I made a deal with my friend Joseph that I'll pick him up at 4 to 4.30 after school. While he was waiting for me to pick him up I went shopping for clothes.

At 4.30 pm I knew he was wondering we I had been. So I kind of knew that he had already left. Once i came back  I walked my fastest to school and went searching for him. All I came past was my other friends Nezinli.

I bought a ticket and walked into the hall. I relax in the corner of the hall watching people dance. Out of nowhere I heard the dougie song turn on and people dancing. First I saw Nezinli go into the middle and start to dougie. Once the song had finished, it came to the best boy an girl. For the boy it was Nezinli and for the girl it was Marry L. They both danced all out

The winner of the match was Nezinli so at the social his nickname was dougie king

My first time being at a social, And I think it was very awesome.

Take 2

During the week my friends and I always have a game of handball on the court or in the street. We mostly team up into 2 or 3 so we all can get a turn faster.

Most times we always play elimination. A couple of times we go by class against class. In a group of 2, the 2 people from my class is my mate Jesiah and, of course me. And sometimes we just team up with anyone.

This is a really fun game to play with your friends. I think you should give it a try!

Reading Eggs

Hello to all of you, I am writing about a new reading site that our teacher, Mr Barks found for us online. The reading site is called Reading Eggs. There are heaps of different areas that you can learn from.

One of them is called Comprehension Gym. Inside this gym there are lesson’s you can do, and also journals to read. There is another area you can visit and it is called the library.

In the library is where you read a heap of books at your age level. Last is the stadium. Inside the stadium there are four different kind of games that you can play and they are called spelling, grammar, vocab, and usage.

This is a fun site to visit and will help you learn to become a better reader. Check it out!

Watching the Olympics live on Television.

 The Olympics are held in London where they compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals. There are about 300 sports events in the Olympic stadium. I mainly watch the events that New Zealand kiwis joined, One of them were sculls. Sculls is another word for rowing.

 At the beginning of the race they all wait for the lights to turn green. While they took off France and New Zealand had the lead. I was backing New Zealand the whole way, They had row 2000m. The scullers names where Eric Murray, and Hamish  Bond.

 As the first 500m went past France had the lead. I reckon New Zealand had a good plan because by the last 500m France must've been tired and New Zealand and all the other teams would of been creeping up on France. New Zealand had the lead by the last 1000m.


 Once they took the lead they held it from there on. The Kiwis had won the race and a gold medal! Well done guys!

Immersion Assembly

Day 1, on the first day of term 3 we all had to line up and get ready to go to the hall. We wanted to see what our topic was. I already kind of knew what our topic was going to be. I was looking inside our class, and in the breeze.  

 Inside our classrooms on the wall, I reckon that it was all about the olympics. In the hall all the teachers had to perform a movie mostly about the olympics. Team 1 was first, They performed a movie all about the best people that were in the olympics.

One of the team 1 teachers (Ms George) went to visit some of the legends that are good at olympics. She went knocking on their doors, and sat down. They were talking all about how to achieve in your talent.

Weekends

Last week in the weekends all we did was play this game called home run. The point of the game is to chose a person to be in. And they will count up at the mail box and count down from twenty seconds while we hide anywhere. Once They'r finished counting down they will turn around and look for you. If they walk straight pass you and they don't see you you have to run right to the mail box. But if you get caught and they run to the mail box and say your name your out that means you'r in and you go looking for them.
